Javier G. Pioz holds a PhD in Architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid, and a Master of Science in Building Design from Columbia University, New York. He has been awarded the Rome Fellowship by the Spanish Academy of Fine Art in Rome; the Diploma of the Akademie für Bildende Kunst in Salzburg; and the fellowship by the Fundación Juan March. He is a fellow of the Hispanic North American Joint Committee.

Javier Pioz has been President of the Hispanic North American Cultural Association. He has been Professor of Architecture at the Polytechnic University in Madrid since 1987, and lectures at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura.


María Rosa Cervera holds a PhD in Architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid and holds a degree by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. She has been awarded the Rome Fellowship by the Spanish Academy of Fine Art in Rome; the Diploma of the Akademie fur Bildende Kunst in Salzburg and the Diploma of the University of Dunankanyar in Hungary. In addition she holds a research fellowship by the Official College of Architects in Madrid and a fellowship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,

María Rosa Cervera has been Professor of Architectural Composition at the School of Architecture of Alcalá University since 2001 and has lectured at the CEU School of Architecture from 1988 to 2002. She was elected Dean of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Alcalá University in 2004.
